Realizing you are not on the "A" List

Today was a difficult day, but one to "grow" from. So, I was told by a "good" friend in so many words that I was not a priority of hers and bluntly, she had just been "too busy" to follow up on something I had asked her about several days ago. A murmured "sorry" quickly followed and she seemed to think that should have been enough. Well....that certainly puts our friendship into new perspective, considering I have always considered her one of my priorities. I am so glad though, that in discussing this oversight, I never once mentioned or used the proverbial "it's okay," comment, that normally seems so easy to roll off my tongue. In the end, it's not okay. It bothered me and I am so glad I am finally able to let people know when they have wronged me. It's healthy, it's liberating and it's a human emotion. I am growing from the good, the bad and the "indifferent." I hope you can do the same when you find that you are not on someone's "A" list.

Asking for Help

Although it is Day 3 since I started this blog, it is only my second post...Okay, so I am a bit of an overachiever, but you knew that-didn't you?! LOL

Today marks a very important day in my life. I actually sent out over 50 e-mails asking friends and associates for help in building my health business. Yes, I am taking the gloves off and starting the new year on the right foot!

People are there to help us when needed and I realize I have often been selfish in allowing others to help me. Well today is a new day and I am now on the receiving end. And I have to say, it feels great. I am loving life and loving the people god has placed in my life to make this all possible. I am finally seeing the "purpose" of it all.

I hope you trust that you have surrounded yourself with people who wish you well and will do anything to help you get there. Let me help you with your health goals!

365 Days of Finding Me and thensome!

Wow! I can't believe I am taking the plunge and actually doing something I have always dreamed about. This is exciting yet intimidating at the same time because I have always been somewhat of an introvert (keeping my inner most thoughts and ideas to my self). But this is a new chapter in my life and I am so ready to turn the page to see what happens next. I am a firm believer that God places people in your life for a reason and sometimes we don't know the reason until we sit back and reflect on how the new person or opportunity changes the way you think, the things you do, ultimately, it changes YOU!

This first of many blogs is dedicated to my new found cousin Kathi. Thank you Kathi for helping me find "me" again. Thank you for guiding me on the path to do things "bigger than me," things I would have never conceived  of doing. Some people take these things for granted, but I want you to know how much you have enriched my life in so many ways! Never asking, always giving and in helping others grow, you are growing too! I love you for that.

Thank god for the changes about to happen in my life and those around me. I pray that they are able to see it and accept the changes (all for the better) as clearly as I can. Lord, I know that you must bring us through the darkness to appreciate the light. Please use me as your guide and help me serve my friends well in this and many other areas of their life, so that they too can see the wonders you have in store for us all!
