Realizing you are not on the "A" List
Today was a difficult day, but one to "grow" from. So, I was told by a "good" friend in so many words that I was not a priority of hers and bluntly, she had just been "too busy" to follow up on something I had asked her about several days ago. A murmured "sorry" quickly followed and she seemed to think that should have been enough. Well....that certainly puts our friendship into new perspective, considering I have always considered her one of my priorities. I am so glad though, that in discussing this oversight, I never once mentioned or used the proverbial "it's okay," comment, that normally seems so easy to roll off my tongue. In the end, it's not okay. It bothered me and I am so glad I am finally able to let people know when they have wronged me. It's healthy, it's liberating and it's a human emotion. I am growing from the good, the bad and the "indifferent." I hope you can do the same when you find that you are not on someone's "A" list.

I can definitely relate to not being on someone's "A" list. I have also been guilty of not saying anything about it and yes I think saying "it's not okay" is needed. Good to hear you spoke from your heart!
